Welcome to the Royal School of Church Music (Suffolk Area)
The
RSCM is an educational charity dedicated to raising standards and
promoting music in every style of Christian worship and every
denomination. Since 1927 it has grown into an organisation of over
11,000 members and affiliates worldwide, who are offered unique support
and guidance through local and national events and publications.
The
Suffolk area promotes a programme of educational and singing events for
singers of all abilities and experience. The committee works very
closely with the Diocese of St.Edmundsbury and Ipswich Church Music
Committee who organise the Bishop's Chorister and Dean's Awards,
Organist Training Scheme and Annual Choirs Festival. The Bishop's
Chorister and Dean's Award operate alongside the RSCM Voice for Life
Scheme and are open to singers of all ages.
